TEACHING ADULT LEARNERS

Educators usually have a hard time figuring out the needs and course goals for adult learners. It is of great importance that we understand this learner, find the way they learn best, and review the way we approach language. Answering adult learners' needs means rethinking the educator's role, and the traditional classroom.

The aim of this workshop is to provide participants with the aspects concerning adult learners' profile, their needs, as well as the factors that will determine their success throughout the course.

As stated by Lorge (1947), adult learners do require a different educational approach so that we as facilitators can reach them and maximize the opportunities for them to see their progress.

During this workshop we will:

At the end of the session, participants will be able to see adult learners from a different perspective, to meet their learning needs with more effectiveness, and will be able to answer more appropriately to their personal demands.

TEACHING KIDS

In this workshop, we will explore the characteristics and learning styles of primary school students and encourage teachers to make their classrooms an enjoyable place where children can learn through fun, creative, social, and free play.

A theoretical foundation for teaching young learners English as an International language will be provided.

Useful activities and teaching ideas will be introduced.

Some other topics that will also be presented are:

By the end of the workshop, participants will be more prepared to plan and deliver lessons to YLs, and will  also be able to make more informed decisions in all stages of the teaching process.

TEACHING ONLINE

Teaching English online gives both learners and teachers flexibility to work and learn whenever and wherever they want. It increases the chances of success for the learners and gives the teacher more opportunities to enroll new students.

The context of English Language Teaching online gives learners and teachers autonomy and flexibility.

This workshop will cover the following topics:

By the end of the workshop, participants will be more prepared to plan and deliver lessons to YLs, and will  also be able to make more informed decisions in all stages of the teaching process.
